• On ESPN Sunday Countdown, nobody picked the Giants.
• Stat of the morning: 92% of the teams that started 9-4 (since 1990) have made the playoffs.
• This is "the battle of New York" - but I don't think anybody cares.
• Shockey being out could be a good thing: let's not forget the dumb penalties at the wrong time. And his backup scored last week almost immediately after entering the game.
